Watermarks and stuff

So I've been thinking about this watermark business, and just thought I'd share my thoughts on this matter.
As you might have noticed I use DeviantArt's own "tool" for this when uploading my pictures. The thing is, I don't really like doing it, but right now I consider it necessary.
It's not that I don't want people to like and download my pictures, heh, most of them aren't even good enough to be misused I suppose. It's just that I've seen a lot of theft around here, and it bothers me a lot that people are taking credit for other users work. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not some cynical asshole who thinks my work is sooo good everyone is just dying to steal it, I just don't want to risk it since my feelings would really get hurt if someone was using a picture of mine without asking me. Mostly because it could make it look like I was the thief, or even just turn the attention away from my artwork and rob me of some useful comments.

So yeah, for now I have these watermarks. Some day they might disappear, but until then you at least know my reasons.
